When Care is Critical
The Critical Care Unit is divided into,

  • CCU I - Serves as the isolation/special care unit.
  • CCU II - Serves as Level I critical care unit where patients need invasive ventilation, monitoring and therapy.
  • CCU III- Serves as Level II critical care unit where patients need non invasive ventilation, monitoring and therapy.
  • CCU IV- is available to house post anesthesia care patients.

The aim of the acute care service is to provide seamless care to critical patients. The CCU team is led by senior anesthetists and physicians available on a 24 hour basis. This team receives constant assistance from a set of junior doctors, senior and junior nurses, physician assistants, technicians, physiotherapists, nutritionists, radiology and imaging technicians.
